Jjaja Abdulluh (aged 91) finally joined ROTOM's Senior Friendship Program last year. He'd often heard from his friend Ruth about the seniors’ fellowships and the supportive community that ROTOM has built around vulnerable forgotten seniors. One day, his dream came to life – a ROTOM representative visited him, registering him and connecting him with a new friend/sponsor.

The prospect of fellowship, of shared meals and laughter with other seniors filled Abdulluh with immense happiness. He yearned for connection after years of quiet isolation.

Recently, a fall left him with a back injury. But thanks to his new found ROTOM support, his worries about medical care have since vanished. The healthcare provided through ROTOM by his supporting friend ensures he receives excellent treatment, feeling like a "VIP" at the ROTOM Health Center. The burden of cost has been lifted, replaced by a profound sense of love and care.

Today, Jjaja Abdulluh cherishes his fellowship days. He delights in sharing meals with fellow "Jjajas" and even takes some food home to share with his daughter, his caregiver. His words overflow with gratitude for this new found connection, the excellent healthcare, and the feeling of being loved and cherished. ROTOM, through the generosity of friends like YOU, has transformed Abdulluh's life from isolation to a haven of warmth and care.
