ROTOM & Giving Tuesday

This year has been a strain on everyone as we all struggle to adjust to new, unwanted norms. Yet, one thing is the same; after the shopping chaos on Black Friday and Cyber Monday, Giving Tuesday invites us to be a part of a global celebration of generosity.

Started in 2012, as a simple idea to encourage others toward doing good; the Giving Tuesday movement has inspired hundreds of thousands of people to give. For many organizations, this day kicks off their end of year giving, as those who are eager to get their holiday shopping done, discover it is convenient to check their end of year giving off their list as well.

Reach One Touch One Ministries serves a demographic in many ways forgotten by the rest of the world. We strive to make sure that our Grannies and Grandpas have the basic essentials necessary for survival. For Senior Stella Nakku, that meant access to medical care. As she aged, Stella found herself constantly worried about getting sick, knowing she would be unable to afford treatment that she might need. Now, through her involvement with ROTOM, her mind is more at ease, because when it was needed, she received specialized Geriatric care only available at the ROTOM Health Center. If not for ROTOM, Stella believes her life would be at risk to whatever ailment or illness she might encounter.

ROTOM’S Partnership funds provide the operational costs for each field office. These offices coordinate with each other across the globe to make sure that our senior friends have the resources they need to move from survival to thriving. Yet this year, COVID has not allowed us the normal opportunities to raise finances for this fund and without it, we cannot continue to function at the same capacity.

Mark it on your calendar! This Giving Tuesday on December 1st and will kick off ROTOM’s Year End campaign. We invite you to be a part of this worldwide movement of giving. Will you give $50, $100, or more to help meet this shortfall? Matching funds have been pledged by faithful friends who want to make sure that your gift goes twice as far. Will you help us make a difference in the lives of senior friends like Stella?

We cannot do this without you. Your gift will allow us to focus on meeting the needs of marginalized seniors and their dependents at a time when even our western countries are feeling uncertain. Will you help?
