No More Reasons to ‘Carry In’ Water
Perusi feels like the luckiest woman on earth. ROTOM donors like you have stepped in and made her life remarkable!
The simplest things we cannot seem to fathom absolutely bless our seniors. Living alone in rural Africa, she is widow without children or nearby family to help out. This season of her life has been the toughest yet and has left her in a place of desperation. In her community, collecting well water is an expected chore reserved for younger children in the home.
The water collection routine is a strenuous part of the day for Perusi. Now very old, even walking ¼ of a mile causes great difficulty; and, enduring the full 2 miles to the village’s borehole nearly sets her back days. With no source of additional income to hire a day laborer’s help to bring in water, she has to rely on selling food from her garden (limiting her own food supply) to pay a young man a small amount to collect her daily water needs.
You see, having a Water Storage System in her home, supplied by her ROTOM sponsored senior has eased her burden. Now, when the rain comes she no longer has to worry because her tank automatically fills up! With 1,000 liters of ready-made water just for her alone (that’s 264 gallons), she can focus on being there for her friends in community and living a dignified life again.
Once again, we couldn’t have changed a life like Perusi’s without you! Our sincere gratitude and many thanks goes out to you, our committed donors for making sure she has enough ready-to-access clean water to use for cooking, washing, and cleaning for daily chores.
If you haven’t yet given for a senior, will you follow in the steps of Jesus, acting as His hands and feet remembering that we need to live out our faith in both word and deed? Donate today and change their lives for good and help strengthen their communities! Will you join us?

Whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life. – John 4:14 NIV
